Step Booster FAQs
To see your activity reflected in the boost, you must connect a step tracking app to LiveWell. We support Apple Health (installed on all iPhones), Google Fit (pre-installed on many Android phones and also available to download from Google Play or App Store), Fitbit, Garmin and Strava. Once you have connected an app through Settings and can see your physical activity data coming through, you will be able to see your step contributions reflected in the challenge by tapping on View Progress.
Unfortunately, no. To protect the integrity of the challenge, no manual or retrospective entries are permitted. Ensure you take your phone or wear your device whenever exercising so your steps are counted.
Our system uses a timestamp to determine the leaderboard order. In the case of tied step counts, the user that achieves the number of steps first will be listed in the highest position on the leaderboard.
Total team activity is calculated by adding together the number of steps from each individual team member. That means, the more active your team, the better your chances to reach the top.
Go to the Boosts screen and tap on View Progress on the Step Booster card. Here, you can see company-wide progress towards the boost goal. To see your team or individual progress, tap on the Team or Individual segments at the top of the screen. You can tap on any team or individual name to view more information.
Other boost participants can see your full name (or nickname if you elected to create one), your profile picture, your total step count, your average daily step count and how many ‘cheers’ you have received.
No, team names are created prior to the start of the challenge so these cannot be changed. We are working on some exciting features in the future that will allow you to create your own teams.
If you wish to change your team before the boost begins, tap on the Step Booster card in Upcoming tab and then tap Change Team. You can then select a different team from the dropdown. Please note, you cannot change teams once the challenge has begun.
Go to the Boosts screen and tap on View Progress. Then tap on ‘About the Boost’ at the bottom of the screen. You will then see a ‘Leave boost’ button.
The challenge will remain open 24 hours after the end date – allowing you enough time to check back in, sync your steps and hopefully climb to the top the leaderboard.
