  • Why do I need to sync apps with LiveWell?
    • Syncing external apps allows you to share your step, exercise, and sleep data with LiveWell.
    • Because LiveWell doesn’t collect your data, we need to receive it from apps that do.
    • By syncing data collection apps with LiveWell, we can help you to visualize your health and track your progress.
  • How can I get LiveWell?

    Android

    • Download the LiveWell App from your app store. 
    • Language: LiveWell operates in the language your phone is set to
    • Requires Android 8.1 (API level 28) or higher

    IOS

    • Download the LiveWell App from your app store. 
    • Language: LiveWell operates in the language your phone is set to
    • Requires iOS 12 or higher

    Web

    • You can access LiveWell using our web portal here: https://livewell-portal.zurich.com/ 
    • Language: LiveWell operates in the language your web browser is set to
  • How do I sync my data with LiveWell?

    There are two different ways that apps sync with LiveWell:

    Direct Syncing
    • Direct syncing applies to apps that have a direct integration with LiveWell.
    • You can connect an app to LiveWell by going to ‘Manage tracking apps’ in Settings. Toggle the relevant switch on and follow the prompts to connect.
    • If your health data is ever not showing up in LiveWell, you might need to open both apps to help the data sync.
    • Find a full list of apps that directly sync with LiveWell below.

    Indirect Syncing
    • Indirect syncing uses an intermediary app to sync your data with LiveWell.
    • The intermediary app will be an app that directly syncs with LiveWell, such as Apple Health or Google Fit.
    • Indirect syncing allows you to use a wide range of data collection apps and channel all your data back to LiveWell through one app.
    • To ensure that your data is synced with LiveWell, simply open your data collection app, then your intermediary app, then LiveWell. Leave them all open for a few moments to allow your data to sync fully.

  • Which apps direct sync with LiveWell?
    Health apps
    Apple Health
    • Apple Health is Apple’s built-in solution for health tracking.
    • Apple Health can be connected to LiveWell by toggling the switch on when prompted while setting up your account.
    • You can manage access to your data directly in the Apple Health app or in LiveWell.
     
    Google Fit
    • Google Fit is Android’s solution for collecting health data from different sources and storing it in your phone.
    • Google Fit can be connected to LiveWell by toggling the switch on when prompted while setting up your account.
    • You can manage access to your data directly in the Google Fit app or in LiveWell.
     
    Google Health Connect
    • Google Health Connect is a new app health app from Google that aggregates all health information stored in your phone. It is currently the only way to sync data collected by Samsung Health with LiveWell.
    • Google Health Connect is part of the Android Framework on Android 14 or higher but if you have Android 9 or higher you can download it directly from the Google Play store.
    • Google Health Connect can be connected to LiveWell by toggling the switch on when prompted while setting up your account.
    • You can manage access to your data in the Google Health Connect app or in LiveWell.
     
    Fitness Apps
    These apps can sync directly to LiveWell without needing to first connect with Apple Health, Google Fit, or Google Health Connect.

  • Which apps indirectly sync with LiveWell?
    Connecting Apple Health, Google Fit, and Google Health Connect to LiveWell allows you to indirectly sync data from a range of third-party apps. Below is a list of apps that can provide data to LiveWell via indirect syncing.*

    For activity tracking:
    • Apple Watch
    • Xiaomi Mi Fit

    • MapMyWalk

    Please note: Depending on your device and how your preferred app records data, the types of data recorded in Apple Health, Google Fit, or Google Health Connect may be limited.

    *This list is not exhaustive. Other data collection apps that are not listed here might be able to indirectly sync with LiveWell. These are just the ones that we know work the best.

    **It is currently necessary to use Google Health Connect to sync data between Samsung Health and LiveWell due to Samsung’s restrictions on data transfer between apps
  • Can I sync my wearable device with LiveWell?
    • Yes, LiveWell can indirectly sync with wearable health devices.
    • To sync the data from your wearable with LiveWell, open your wearable’s companion app and sync your data there before opening Livewell.
    • If your wearable’s companion app indirectly syncs with LiveWell, you’ll also need to sync it with Apple Health, Google Fit, or Google Health Connect before opening LiveWell.
  • Can I sync more than one fitness app with LiveWell at the same time?
    Yes, you can link multiple fitness apps and wearable devices to the LiveWell App at the same time. Our algorithms merge activity data in a way that no duplicate activity is recorded, giving you an accurate reflection of your daily activity, even if multiple apps and devices are connected at the same time.
  • Will I lose my data if I change devices?
    No, you will not lose your data. The data that LiveWell has received from your connected devices is securely stored in your LiveWell account. When you connect your new device, we simply start collecting new data from there. If you install the LiveWell App on a new phone, make sure you log into your existing LiveWell account which holds all of your activity data you have collected so far.
  • Why does my data in LiveWell not match my fitness app?
    There can be several reasons for this, including a potential delay in data being synced from your device to LiveWell. Make sure that you have synced your wearable device with its companion app on your phone. If you have multiple fitness apps connected to the LiveWell App at the same time, the LiveWell Goals screen will show combined values that will differ from what you see in each connected fitness app. If you continue to see a significant difference in the data, please contact us by emailing support.livewell@zurich.com.
