This collaboration aims to encourage Zurich Indonesia’s customers to create healthy habits through lifestyle tracking and rewarding healthy actions in the LiveWell app.

Heriyanto Agung Putra, Vice President Director of PT Zurich Asuransi Indonesia Tbk said, “This collaboration is Zurich Indonesia's commitment to meeting customers' needs for a healthy lifestyle supported by digital applications. This application will gradually be accessed by all group health customers (Medicillin) and all customers of Zurich Indonesia for free", explained Heriyanto.

According to data from the World Health Organization (WHO) in the “Global Status Report on Physical Activity 2022" there is a lack of physical activity among teenagers and adults throughout the world. This report reveals that approximately 81% of adolescents and 27.5% of adults currently do not meet the recommended minimum levels of physical activity to achieve optimal health. Other studies have shown that rapidly changing lifestyle patterns and a rise in sedentary behaviors, or a person's tendency to be inactive, increased by up to 70%. This has amplified the risk of Non-Communicable Diseases (NCD) by as much as 30%. These medical conditions, including cardiovascular diseases, cancer, respiratory diseases, and diabetes are often chronic in nature and are largely caused by factors such as unhealthy diet and lack of physical activity.

WHO recommends different levels of physical activity for each age group. Children and teenagers (10-19 years) should get at least 60 minutes of moderate- to vigorous-intensity activity daily, while for adults, it is 150 minutes of moderate-intensity activity per week. WHO also recommends muscle strengthening exercises at least two times per week, or light exercise at least three times per week for the elderly.

Stephanie Lloyd, CEO of LiveWell, explained that LiveWell was designed to allow users to control their health. "This digital platform offers a personalized wellness experience by providing recommendations based on each individual's needs”.

The LiveWell app also includes an AI health check capability that will be made available to Zurich Indonesia users. This real-time Vitals Check feature enables users to monitor their vital signs at any time, directly within the app, eliminating the need for additional devices. This feature makes use of the cellphone camera to analyze vital signs, including stress levels, heart rate variability, blood pressure, and respiratory rate, providing users with valuable health insights.

Budi Darmawan, Director of PT Zurich Topas Life (Zurich Life), added, “Indonesians have responded very well to adopting LiveWell as part of their lifestyle-health management. As of June 2024, there are tens of thousands of users of the LiveWell app in Indonesia, including agency customers from Zurich Life who have been able to access the application since May 2024”.

The LiveWell app also has a loyalty program and a marketplace where users can enjoy exclusive memberships offering a range of benefits. Users can collect points as they complete healthy activities, which can later be exchanged for rewards and discounts provided in the app.

Adhiramsyah Choesin, Lifestyle Content Creator and Host, admitted that “After experiencing ups and downs in my health and career, I finally found this LiveWell app which can help my consistency in creating healthy lifestyle in an easy way”.

Zurich Indonesia (PT Zurich Asuransi Indonesia Tbk, PT Zurich General Takaful Indonesia, and PT Zurich Topas Life) is licensed and supervised by the Financial Services Authority.
